What we say

Beta Testers Needed

Our next iPhone app is almost beta worthy, so it’s time to put out the call for beta testers. Anyone interested can say so in a comment below. The requirements are as follows:

  1. Have OS 3.0+ on your device (can be an iPhone or iPod)
  2. Have a reasonably large music collection on your device (50+ albums minimum, 200+ ideal)
  3. Be serious about providing feedback, we are given limited beta tester slots so we don’t want to waste them

Anyone who participates will get a free version of the app when it’s launched, and if you’re really good we’ll throw in free versions of some of our other stuff too :) Anyone who is helpful will also probably be included in any future beta testing too, so you’ll always have the latest and greatest.

UPDATE: Anyone interested should go sign up at http://ibetatest.com and then include their user name in the comment they post. We’ll use that site to manage the distribution of keys and updates while we’re in beta.

UPDATE 2: The app has been submitted to Apple for release, so we’re no longer in active testing. However, I’ll add any iBetaTest names posted below to the beta so when we do updates you can be a part of that testing.

    Hi,
I am interested in being one of the beta testers. I have quite a big collection of albums and I like listening to songs. However, my iphone 3GS will only be arriving next week.
    Regards,
    Eddie

I meet all the requirements, and I counted about 100~ albums in my iPhone library. I’ll assume from requirements that it’s a music app, and I’m a music lover, so I think it’ll be in both our interest if the beta testing goes well.

I’ll be as prompt as possible on the feedback, so just email me if you think I’m qualified to help. I wouldn’t mind in participating in future projects either if this one goes well.

I’d love to beta test. I have 984 albums with 474 synced on my iPhone 3G right now (can add more if necessary, have another playlist I usually have on my phone too). I’ve beta tested quite a lot for Microsoft, Apple, Adobe, and Symantec. I’d love to help out and provide helpful bug reports — especially if this is a music related app because I’m a huge music nerd.

    iPhone 8GB 3G with 3.0.0 OS

Great, I’ve sent you an invite to the beta on ibetatest.com. Looking forward to seeing how the app holds up with your large number of albums, I don’t think it’s ever been used with that many before.
